Data Exchange and Tools: e-Tools

e-Tools is a tool common to all estWest products. It offers numerous possibilities of data exchange between the txt files (with separator) and the LDAP and SQL databases. e-Tools also permits to verify the coherence of the data in an LDAP database. Finally, e-Tools permits to create the small photos, preserving their quality.

Data exchange

With e-Tools, the data from your information databases can be imported (at the implementation time or periodically).

For e-Chart Directory, in order to generate the tree structure, your files must contain the following data:

For each structure, its parent structure

For each person, its belonging structures

The same principle must be applied for the user groups - Users, and the containers-contained for the e-Object Editor.

e-Tools can refresh periodically the persons` information from the txt files, by equalization of its identifier (personal ID, e-mail address, DN...), and also automatise the arrivals and departures in a company. The content of the database can also be exported to txt files.

Verify the coherence of the data

e-Tools permits to verify the coherence of data in an LDAP database; for instance, e-Tools verifys and tries to rapair the invalid DN links.

Photo treatment

e-Tools permits to fabricate the small photos by preserving their quality by graphic treatments. The photos will be downloaded by input functions, or transmitted.

Launching of e-Tools

All treatments can be programmed to be launched periodically, but can also be started from the administration module.
